Whats better than cart ladies yelling at you with the items they have haha. Kim su has a special place in my heart, been here for many years. Their whole remodel was really nice and resembles a familiar look for a dim sum restaurant. Besides the usual dim sum items, I highly recommend their sweet and sour soup, lobster with garlic noodles, and crab fried rice here! All staples I get whenever I come to Kim Su.
Very good place for dim sum! Bright and crowded (but not as noisy somehow as the usual crowded restaurant). The carts come around quickly and efficiently, loaded down with fresh offerings. We all agreed that the fried tofu was a standout, so flavorful and crispy! Drool!! Chicken feet were unctuous with a flavor distinct from any I have had before, I could get used to this! I would skip the stuffed crab legs next time, they look pretty but are very solid inside and a little dry and not so flavorful). Hubby says overall the dim sum here is not as flavorful as he'd like (he's got very high standards) but I plan to make Tan Kim Su a regular part of our restaurant rotation and he didn't object!

Dinner on a Friday night at 5:30pm- no wait. Service was great, we got new plates refreshed frequently. The food came out so fast and was good. They showed us our live lobster before it got cooked. I've been coming here for decades and definitely a go to. Minus one star because it was pricey. $400 (including tax and pre set tip) for 7 dishes: lobster and noodles, Peking duck and baos, fried rice, tofu, greens, salt and pepper calamari, asparagus crab soup. Free dessert after dinner! Recently remodeled. Parking can be limited when the restaurant gets busy.
